Building Connections
The Go Bananas Family extends a warm welcome to all families in Southern California. Our mission is to provide peer-to-peer support for families raising children and supporting adults with developmental disabilities by sharing informational resources, coordinating community events, and offering training to help families feel confident as their loved one's best advocates.

Our Core Services
Advocacy and Acceptance
Our goal is to bring families together in order to build a strong and supportive community that enriches the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Online Support Network
Our online community support group has been established for over a decade and is an active network of parents, grandparents, and caregivers sharing knowledge and resources.
Go Bananas Equipment Exchange Project
Established in 2025, our online durable medical equipment (DME) exchange facilitates the connection between families with medically fragile children and adults to share items such as mobility equipment, diapers, g-tube supplies, and other DME at no cost to the donor or the recipient.
Community Events
Connecting families by hosting bi-monthly coffee shop meet ups, dinners, our anniversary celebration, and other support group events. We also host an annual Thanksgiving Dinner drive and Holiday Gift drive for a select number of Go Bananas families in need (based on applications).
Workshops & Seminars
Educational & Informative. We provide online webinars from disability legal professionals, advocates, and other guest speakers to help empower families to make informed decisions and enhance the supportive decision making process for individuals with disabilities.
